Starting The Odin Project

Man... I've been putting this of for years. Learning how to code. It's time to document my journey on a blog because so will keep me consistent and at least I can look back at these "diary" entries at some point in the future.

So here's a quick intro post about why I want to learn software development.

Why learn software development?

Money, pride, prestige?

The answer to this fluctuates often but I honestly think the reason I want to learn software development is money oriented and I like the idea of having the ability to start a solo business.

There's plenty of people out there earning a good living supporting a few million users with a small numbers of people to help and we have other indie developers who are killing it on their own.

For some reason, that appeals to me.

Secondly, I want to challenge myself intellectually.

I want to solve hard business problems with innovative solutions. I know, that sounds pretentious, but it is what it is.

Anyways, that's my first post look forward to sharing more about what I learn
